Im an auto technician and I use it almost everyday as far as your using it to access security systems , it is a beast however I do not recommend it as a regular code reader.

Very easy to use and update, nice size, good case. I modified the foam inside the case so I could fit all the cords and eprom tools. Very happy so far, key programming feature works well.
